Everything about this session is just beautiful. The people. The love. The locations. Michael & Gretchen have HUGE hearts. From the words of a photographer friend of mine “They give, and give, and give… and they love every minute of it. They share a beautiful vision to invest in and change kids’ lives, forever. And they plan to spend their lives doing that, together.” It gives me chill bumps just thinking about how awesome these two are. And I get the amazing opportunity to photograph their wedding!!

This is Kay! She was a bridal model for the shoot! I ADORED the yellow in this. Her shoes, the balloons, the bouquet, her sash, necklace…. And to top it all off there was this amazing trunk!!

Here is part two of the style shoot, This is Annie & Jay! Everything about these two was just fantastic! I LOVE LOVE LOVE her shoes… I actually bought them for myself a while back out of impulse because they were SO cute!

The light was just amazing, I believe filtered light through the trees is my new fav!

Stylized Shoot :: UNO! :: VA MD DC Photographer

As I was sitting around one afternoon I called up a photographer friend of mine to see what she was doing and she told me she was on her way to a stylized shoot with another photographer. So of course I was like REALLY!? I made some phone calls to see if it was possible for me to go, and thanks to the AMAZING friends and family in my life I was able to go! Talk about last minute!!

There were different models from wedding to maternity, kids to bridal… it was so fun!

Today I am blogging about Alison & Kenny – an engaged couple!

Bannana fannana fo faby fe fi fo maby… BABBBBBY! I love babies. Seriously – they are just so tiny and beautiful and wondrous. A pure miracle from God. I just wanted to hold her all day long, but I did the next best thing – which was capture her for her sweet parents to cherish for all time to come.

Meet the Martins! :: VA MD DC Photographer

Back in October of last year, my grandfather was very ill. My mom and I needed to get to Daytona Beach Florida to see him before he passed. Unfortunately we had barely any money and couldn’t afford somewhere to stay. I reached out to my church family, and what was poured back out to us was just amazing. Joy, contacted her grandmother and her grandmother offered a room for us to stay in as long as we needed it. I am SO thankful to have an amazing group of friends like Joy & her family.

As a way to say thank you for the amazing blessing they were to our family, I offered them a family session.

Thank you SO much Joy, and family. We love you.

John & Melissa :: Washington DC Engagement Photography

I met John & Melissa in Northern Virginia and we rode up to Washington DC together – which was SO nice because it gave us a chance to really chat and get to know each other a bit before we started photographing. John & Melissa are both teachers, and met at the school that they work at through mutual friends. They are seriously adorable together and are completely in love… it’s totally obvious. See for yourself.

PS – Almost all of the images aside from the ones shot by the Capital were shot around the Smithsonian! I had no idea how much fun that place could be!!

Allysa :: SENIOR :: Fredericksburg Virginia Photographer

A few weeks ago I met Allysa and her mom in downtown Fredericksburg for her senior portraits. We drove all over downtown Fred looking for unique spots, we even had one guy let us use his antique car in the back drop! I love the uniqueness of this session and the variety!!
